Description:
Cover Page As mentioned in the proposal, the project inherently develops into a replicable toolset while the database, will grow overtime into a large scale web-based service space with specialized reporting and analysis tools that are needed by the stakeholders. The Assam RVEP pilot demonstration work (for 416 villages) for providing the support services will be "Show Cased" to create larger scale replicability for RVEPs in various Indian states (current planning by MNES is for over 30,000 villages in various Indian states during the period 2007-12). At another level, the project would create a methodology of GIS and Knowledge Management, whereby data on water resources and other variables for Sustainable Development in villages can be collected, collated and analysed. This has a multifaceted replication value in various sectors such as education, health, gender equality, rural infrastructure etc.
